How 'bout them cowgirl....

Well October has shaped up to be one busy, crazy, fun, eventful month!

We have begun our Executive meetings for Ag Ambassadors on Tuesdays at 6:30. I had my advising meeting with Doc Field for next semester. If all works out I plan on taking: Genetics, Breeding, Nutrition, Ag Law, Disease and Ag Marketing. I have officially declared my Ag Business minor! Stats exam went well worse than wanted, but expected, unfortunately I knew it was coming. The thing that gets me is that I studied more for this one than the last and scored about 5 % lower! Saturday we had an Ag Ambassador BBQ at Judi's house, our old adviser. It was a fun time and Alyece and I kicked some horseshoe ace! Tuesday provided for a Reproduction Exam, which to this day we still have not gotten back. I spent all weekend and part of last week studying, we had 33 essay questions to answer and he only put 7 on the exam! Sometimes Peel you drive me BA-NA-NA-S, in the words of Gwen Stefani! On Wednesday we had all of the LNW kids meet us out at ARDEC to have quick Round Robin info session, for you Easterner's thats Showman of Showman! We had a great turnout and it went over really well with the students.

Happy Birthday Josh! October 24th the big 2-0!

This week holds a lot in store for me!

Anatomy and Physiology Exam Monday, Executive meeting, Technology in Agriculture Discussion Tuesday, Reproduction Quiz Tuesday also, AFA meeting Wednesday, LNW meeting Thursday morning, AFA papers due along with Ag Ambassadors re-application due Thursday and a Ag Ambassador meeting, Friday holds a Range Management Exam and a Stats Quiz. Little National set-up, shearing lambs. Saturday LITTLE NATIONAL WESTERN. Sunday REGISTER AS A JUNIOR! :) With all of this I will also have two more meetings, one with Casey, my boss about LNW, and one with Doc Field also about LNW.

Along with all of these meeting, classes, homework, work I also have an obligation to be out at ARDEC to help these kids for LNW on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday!

Just writing about all of this I am whipped!

Carrie I appologize I am copying you: my song of the week was, George Strait's How 'bout them cowgirls!

I felt a rush of the Rio Grande into Yellowstone (been there, seen that!)
I've seen first-hand Niagra Falls (when I was 6 months old!)
And the lights of Vegas (nasty airport)
I've Criss-crossed down to Key Biscayne
And Chi-town via Bangor, Maine
Think I've seen it all
And all I can say is

Chorus:
How 'bout them cowgirls
Boys ain't they somethin'
Sure are some proud girls
And you can't tell them nothin'
And I tell you right now girls
May just be seven wonders of this big, old round world
But how 'bout them cowgirls

She's ridin' colts in Steamboat Springs (thats in COLORADO)
Bailing hay outside Abilene
She's trying hard
To fit in in some city (can you say Fort Collins?)
But her home is 'neath that big, blue sky
And the Northern Plains and those other wide open spaces
Now a-days there ain't as many but

Repeat Chorus:
Boy, she don't need you and she don't need me
She can do just fine on her own two feet
But she wants a man who wants her to be herself
And she'll never change, don't know how to hide
Her stubborn will or her fightin' side (its a Damschroder/German thing, as Gerry would put it)
But you treat her right and she'll love you like no one else

Yeah, how 'bout them cowgirls
Boys ain't they somethin'
Sure are some proud girls
But you can't beat their lovin'
And I'll tell you right now girls
May just be seven wonders of this big, old round world
But how 'bout them cowgirls
How 'bout them boys

I think this song was written for me! I just love it! :)
Until next time, probably won't be till I arrive back from Kansas City or Costa Rica!

Hope all is well where my friends dwell!

Oh my gosh, Anna! I'm exhausted just reading about all of the things that you have to do this week. I think I'm going back to bed now. Good luck with it all! Luckily you have Kansas City and Costa Rica to look forward to. Plus, you only have 5 more weeks of classes--woo hoo! I love you!

yup, how 'bout them cowgirls. Everytime I hear that song I wonder when George Strait met you in order to write a song about you. Your loyalty, honor, ability, and pride in yourself show respect for yourself and others who hold the same values. Your independence and intelligence your family and friends admire. Your strong side is always out front and your soft side makes you a complete and wonderful person. Love, MOM
