1000, 1500, 2000.....5800 SOLD!

Last Saturday I had to work and we had our annual CSU Bull Sale. We sold 37 bulls and 10 heifers. It was pretty fun, however, the whole week preceding was nice as can be, 60s-70s, sunny not a cloud in the sky, but this day it rained and was cold and dreary. The bulls were pretty excited and rambunctious!

I am currently the Sheep Co-Chair for the Little National Western. It is a livestock show that CSU/BnB put on for anyone interested. I will be working with the An101 students teaching them how to show, clip and train the market lambs they will be showing. I am pretty excited for this next fall.

Well looking ahead.... Skiing on Sunday, skiing next Saturday then down to the Springs afterwards for Easter Sunday.

Texas-holy crap you are huge!

Friday: We left after school and headed down to Mallory's house in Pueblo. Her mom had made us stew and cake. It was really nice.

Saturday: We left at 7 and headed to Lubbock, Texas. We drove down through New Mexico and then over to Texas. We drove through Amarillo around noon and then down to Lubbock. The hotel we were originally supposed to stay in was so creepy all of us girls were concerned. Travis went to check in and Mandy and Mallory went to look at the pool and it was totally green and there was half a bra laying in the yard. They screamed and were like we are telling Travis we are not staying here! Also there were NO cars in the parking lot. Travis came back and said, "girls we are not staying here. Where do you want to stay?" We were so happy! There was actually a water main break on the road so that is why we couldn't stay there because they had no water. We checked into our Super 8 Motel. We practiced at Texas Tech for like three hours. Then we ate supper at Whataburger. We headed back to the hotel and went in the hot tub and pool.

Sunday: We left around 6:45 and drove to San Angelo. We practiced till 1:30 at San Angelo State University. We ate lunch in the van as we drove to College Station. We checked into our Super 8 Hotel again and relaxed until we went to supper at this BBQ place of which I can't think of the name.

Monday: We paracticed at Texas A and M until lunch time and then ate at Fudrucker's. We went back and finished practicing. We went to Cavender's Boot Store and went bowling. We ate supper at Jimmy John's.

Tuesday: We got up and drove to Houston, Texas. Once we got there we walked through the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, HLSR. That evening we checked into our hotel, Holiday Inn and ate supper at the Olive Garden. I gave a set of reasons and looked at some staples and went to bed to be ready for the contest.

Wednesday: The contest began at 10 and we finished around 4. We waited to eat supper with the livestock team and then we went out to eat at Razzoo's Cajun Seafood. Went back to the hotel and hung out then went to bed.

Thursday and Friday: We left for the awards banquet at 7. It lasted 8-10:30. Then came the most exciting part probably of the whole trip....we physically were stuck in the parking lot! We could not get out any way what so ever! We even had other teams helping us watch sides and ends. Then we even tried to pick it up! So this truck that was parked behind us we discovered it was unlocked and we found a cell phone on the dash and then looked for the keys anywhere we could think of, gas tank, tool box, under the floor mat-nothing! So we called the "DAD CELL" and he answered and we told him the situation and he came out and moved the truck so we were able to get out finally after at least a half an hour. We packed up the truck quickly and headed out at noon. We followed the livestock team. We drove up through Waco, Fort Worth, Wichita Falls, Amarillo, then we drove through a little bit of Oklahoma and up to Lamar. I co-piloted from Lamar to Fort Collins, 2-5 in the morning. After Lamar, Colorado we went up to Denver and then up 25 to Fort Collins. We arrived back in Fort Collins at 5 am, unpacked the van and headed to bed. I woke up at 10 and started unpacking and just relaxed all day.

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

We are leaving for Pueblo at 4. We are spending the night at one of the girls houses and then heading out early Saturday morning to travel south. We plan to get to Texas on Saturday. Then over the next three days we are going to practice at San Angelo, A and M and College Station. The contest is on Wednesday, awards ceremony on Thursday morning. We will head out that evening and drive all night and day to get back to FoCo by Friday morning. Then is is unpacking and relaxing for the rest of spring break and the weekend.

I will have my phone on me at all times so if anyone needs to get a hold of me, don't hesitate. I hope that everyone's spring break is happy, safe and fun!

KEYSTONE?

Okay so this is will be another weekly update...sorry

Wednesday: I had a Chemistry Exam and I was so surprised and happy when I got my grade back a 96%-I only missed one question.

Friday: I met with the Ag Ambassadors at the Livestock Pavilion at 9:10 PM and we proceeded to go to Cold Stones. Afterwards, we went to EPIC and played broom ball. Wow, was it a fun, but long night. I got home around midnight and tried to sleep.

Saturday: I got up at 5:30 AM to go skiing at Copper with Nicole, Preston, Dana and Rex. I was so tired after only getting like two hours of sleep because people in this hall are stupid and scream till 3 in the morning. Anyways skiing was great, conditions were awesome, clear blue skies, despite the wind and around zero temperatures. So once again we sat in some traffic on 70, this time on the way there. But for Nicole and I it was VERY enjoyable :) There was a truck full of boys in front of us. As they each turned around to look with sunglasses on we began to communicate. KEYSTONE?....a head shake on our part...COPPER....RED AND JERRY'S...??...TEXT ME @ ####...the texting began! We, well I tried to get them to go to Copper instead of Keystone, so we could ski together but they already had their tickets, so no bueno. So as the day went on they wanted us to join them in Denver to hang out for a bit, but we didn't get to Denver till around 5:30, we ate with the Williams at Colorado Mills Mall and then headed up to FoCo. If I was not so freaking sick I would have contenplated going.

On Wednesday I began to get sick..a cough...working outside in the wind from the devil on Thursday didn't help any and then broom ball on Friday and skiing on Saturday didn't either. So today, Sunday I am just resting and procrastinating on doing homework because I feel so crappy.

The upcoming week:
3 exams
2 meetings
Friday or Saturday leave for Houston for a week :)

I will try to update before Huston, but we will see if I have time and if I don't die from this cold.
